Connect DPD Polska to create DPD labels from Zippendo for parcels within Poland and from Poland to the rest of Europe, deliveries to DPD Pickup service points and lockers, pickups and customer returns. Every DPD Polska product ships from an address in Poland. This page covers DPD Polska only. The fields every carrier shares are on Carrier credentials. Walkthrough: Carriers.

What you need from DPD Polska

  • A DPD Polska agreement with access to DPDServices. After you sign the agreement, DPD Polska gives you a login, a password and your payer number (FID).
  • Optional: a payer sub-number (numkat), if your account has one.
  • Optional: a DPD Pickup API key from DPD, if you want to search for DPD Pickup service points and lockers in Zippendo.

Connect DPD Polska

1

Open All carriers

In the sidebar, click Carriers, then the All carriers tab.
2

Click Connect on DPD Polska

Find the DPD Polska card and click Connect. (Learn more opens the DPD Polska website.)
3

Fill in the form

The Connect carrier window opens. Carrier name is already filled in with “DPD Polska”. Fill in Login, Password and Payer number (FID). Scroll down to Optional fields for Payer sub-number (numkat), DPD Pickup API key and Test mode.
4

Click Connect in the window

You see Carrier connected. DPD Polska now appears on My carriers marked Connected.

What to enter

Test or live

With Test mode on, Zippendo sends your shipments to DPD’s demo system. Enter the demo login and payer number that DPD Polska publishes for that system, not your own. With it off, enter your own. Searching for DPD Pickup service points always uses DPD’s real system, even in test mode. Turn Test mode off before you ship real orders. More in Test mode.

After you connect

You choose a DPD Polska product when you create a shipment or a shipping rule. See Carrier products and services. Services you can add include Cash on delivery (with COD amount), Declared value (insurance), Return of documents, Saturday delivery, Delivery before 09:30, Delivery before 12:00, Next-day delivery, Same-day delivery, B2C delivery window and, on international shipments, Duty (customs charges). Some services must first be turned on for your DPD account. If one is not, DPD refuses the shipment and the shipment shows DPD’s reason.
  • Service points: for DPD Pickup, choose the service point in the Service point section of the shipment before you send. The search needs the DPD Pickup API key. See Pick a service point.
  • Pickups: you can book DPD Polska pickups from addresses in Poland under Pickups. You choose the address and date, and Zippendo books the widest time slot DPD offers for your postal code. You cannot cancel a DPD pickup in Zippendo. Contact DPD with the order number, which is the part before the colon in the Carrier reference column. See Schedule a pickup.
  • Tracking: Zippendo fetches tracking from DPD regularly. There is nothing to set up.
  • Customs: DPD Polska does not create customs documents or a commercial invoice. Fill in the customs fields on each order line. If the route needs an invoice, turn on Generate commercial invoice or Generate proforma invoice under Document generation on the shipping rule, and Zippendo creates it. See Customs and documents.

If the connection fails

Zippendo saves your DPD details without checking them. A mistake shows up the first time you send a shipment. More help: Carrier authentication failures.

Change or remove the connection

  • Change: on My carriers, click Edit carrier. Update the fields under Carrier settings and click Save.
  • Remove: on the same page, click Delete, type the carrier name in capital letters (for example DPD POLSKA) and click Delete. Shipping rules that use this carrier are deleted too. Shipments you already sent keep their labels and tracking numbers. A carrier with booked pickups cannot be deleted.
