Zapier runs a Zap of your own each time something happens in Zippendo, for example adding a row to Google Sheets when a shipment is sent, or creating a task when a shipment fails. Zapier supports every event Zippendo has. Integrations are included on every plan. Testing, the delivery log, editing and disconnecting work the same for every app: see Connect an integration. Before you start

You need a Zap that starts with Webhooks by Zapier and the Catch Hook trigger, and that trigger’s address:
  1. In Zapier, create a Zap. As the trigger, pick Webhooks by Zapier, then Catch Hook.
  2. Copy the webhook address Zapier shows. It starts with https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/.
The address works like a password: anyone who has it can start your Zap. One address starts one Zap.

Connect Zapier

Find Zapier in the catalog

Click Apps & integrations in the sidebar, then Catalog. Zapier is under Apps. Click Connect, or Add connection if you already have one.

Review access

Read what Zippendo will do with the connection and click Continue.

Fill in the connection details

Type a Connection name, such as “Zapier: failed shipments”, and paste the address into Catch Hook URL.

Pick the events

Tick the events that should start the Zap, or click Select all. See the list below.

Click Connect

You see Integration connected, and Zapier shows on the Connected tab.

Want more than one Zap? Create a Catch Hook for each in Zapier, and add a connection for each with Add connection.

Events Zapier can receive

Every delivery tells the Zap which event it is, so you can add a filter step in Zapier to handle each kind differently. To decide in Zippendo instead, use an automation (see below).

Check the connection and teach Zapier the fields

Zapier learns which fields to offer from the data it receives while you test the trigger.

Send something

In Zippendo, click the paper plane on the connection row (Send test event). A test event only holds a short test message, so to map shipment or order fields, make a real event happen instead, such as creating a shipment.

Test the trigger in Zapier

In the Zap’s Catch Hook step, click Test trigger and pick the data that arrived.

Finish the Zap and publish it

Map the fields in the next steps of your Zap, then publish it. A Zap that is off does not run on new events.
If nothing arrives in Zapier, open the delivery log (the plug icon). A red cross with a number such as 404 or 410 means Zapier no longer knows the address: copy the current address from the Catch Hook trigger and paste it in with Edit connection.

Change the address or disconnect

Click the sliders icon to open Edit your Zapier connection. Leave Catch Hook URL empty to keep the stored address, or paste a new one to replace it. Click Save changes.

To disconnect, click the trash can, type DELETE and click Disconnect. Zippendo stops sending events to the Zap and deletes the delivery log.

Use Zapier in an automation

In Automations, add the step Trigger Zapier Zap. It sends the event that started the automation to Zapier, but only when your conditions match, for example only for shipments with one carrier. See Automations for building the rest of the automation.
