After you connect a carrier, you can change its settings at any time. In the sidebar, click Carriers, open the My carriers tab and click Edit carrier on the card. The Edit carrier page opens. The page has two sections: General and Carrier settings. Click Save when you are done. You see “Carrier updated successfully”.

General

Carrier name

The name you see on My carriers and when you pick a carrier on a shipment or in a shipping rule. You can change it at any time, for example from “PostNord” to “PostNord Oslo”, to make it easier for your team.

Brand

Shown only if your organization has brands. The page says: “Only this brand can use this carrier.” Leave it empty to let every brand use the carrier.

Carrier settings

This section has the same fields you filled in when you connected the carrier. They differ from carrier to carrier: a customer number, an account number, an API key, a password, or a country. Fields marked * are required. The guide for each carrier explains its fields, see Connect a carrier or integration.

Test mode

Most carriers have a Test mode checkbox. When it is on, your shipments go to the carrier’s test system: you can try the whole flow, but no real shipments are created. Many carriers need separate test credentials for this.
Use Test mode while you try out Zippendo or a new carrier. Turn it off before you ship for real.
Royal Mail has no Test mode, because Click & Drop has no test system. See Test mode.

Settings that are somewhere else

Some choices that affect a carrier’s shipments are not on this page:

Delete the carrier

On the Edit carrier page, click Delete. Type the carrier name in capital letters to confirm, then click Delete. Shipping rules that use the carrier are deleted with it. Shipments you already sent keep their labels and tracking numbers.
