Use this checklist to set up Zippendo. It follows the Setup wizard in the app, so you can work through either one. The Setup wizard sits in the sidebar while you set up. It shows how many essentials are done (for example “3 of 6 essentials done”) and which step is next. Click it to see every step. Each step ticks off by itself as soon as the thing it asks for exists, wherever you set it up. The wizard goes away once your organization has its first shipment.
The first time you sign in, Zippendo offers a short product tour. To take it again, open your profile menu (top right), click Settings, and click Start tour under Product tour. Automate printing there shows how to print labels and documents automatically.

Essentials

1

Company details

Your legal name, address and VAT number. They go on invoices, customs declarations and every shipment you send. You normally enter them when you create your account, so this step is often done already.
2

Sender address

Where parcels leave from. Carriers use it as the pickup address and print it on every label. Open the organization menu at the bottom of the sidebar, click Manage, then Addresses → Add address. Give the address the Sender type. See Sender addresses.
3

Carriers

Connect the carriers you ship with, using the account credentials they gave you. Go to Carriers → All carriers and click Connect on your carrier, for example PostNord or Bring. See Adding and managing carriers.
4

Shipping rules

Decide which carrier, product and services an order gets, from its weight, country, value or the shipping method chosen at checkout. Go to Shipping rules → Add shipping rule. A shipping rule uses a carrier and a sender address, so set those up first. See Shipping rules.
5

Order channel

Connect the webshop or system your orders come from, so Zippendo imports them automatically. Go to Order channels → Catalog and click Connect Shopify, Connect WooCommerce or Create channel for your own system. See Order channels.
6

Ship your first parcel

Send a shipment end to end and get the label back. It is the proof that everything above is connected. Go to Shipments → Create shipment, or open an order and create its shipment from there. See Creating a shipment.

Optional

The wizard also lists these steps. You can do them any time, in any order.
  • Warehouse system: if a warehouse system (WMS) picks and packs for you, connect it under Apps & integrations → Catalog. It then owns the orders and prints labels as your staff pack.
  • Label printing: install Zippendo Printer to send labels straight to a label printer instead of downloading PDFs. See Printers.
  • Apps & integrations: send events to the tools you already use, or let a warehouse system or an AI agent connect to Zippendo.
  • Invite your team: give colleagues their own account, with the role that fits what they do. See Team.

After setup

  • Create a shipment by hand: go to Shipments → Create shipment and fill in the carrier, product, addresses and parcels. See Creating a shipment.
  • Ship an order: if you connected an order channel, open an order and create its shipment from there.
  • Change a carrier’s settings: go to Carriers → My carriers and click Edit carrier to change its name, its credentials or Test mode. See Carrier settings.
You can create your first shipment as soon as you have a sender address and a connected carrier. The rest can be added as you go.
