Under Settings → Team you manage who can sign in to your organization and what they can manage. To open it, click the organization switcher at the bottom of the sidebar, then Invite team members.

What you see

The Team tab has three parts:
  • Custom roles - the roles you have created, each a name plus a set of permissions. See Roles and permissions.
  • Invitations - the Invite new team member row, where you invite a colleague by email.
  • The team list - everyone who has joined (Active) and every invitation that has not been accepted yet (Pending), with their Role and, if you have brands, Restrict to brand.

Invite someone

Open Team

Go to Settings → Team.

Enter the email and role

Type the person’s address in Enter email address. Pick a role in Select role (optional), or leave it empty so they join with No role.

Click Invite

The person gets an email with a link. Until they accept, they show as Pending in the team list.
Once they accept, the organization appears in their organization switcher, and they can start working in it.

Roles

Zippendo has no ready-made roles such as Admin or Member. You create your own under Custom roles. Every team member can do the daily work, whatever their role: orders, shipments, carriers, shipping rules and printers. A role decides who can manage the organization itself:
  • Edit organization - edit the organization’s settings and branding, manage brands and request a data export.
  • Edit everything - everything, including creating roles and changing or removing team members.

Restrict a team member to one brand

If your organization uses brands, set Restrict to brand on a team member, or Restrict the invitee to a brand on the invitation, so they only ever see that brand. The restriction is strict: they cannot switch brand, cannot manage brands and cannot lift the restriction themselves. Another team member who sees the whole organization has to do it. Leave it as No brand (organization-wide) for everyone who should see the whole organization.

Remove access

  • Pending invitation: open the menu at the end of the row and click Revoke invitation. The link in the email stops working.
  • Team member: open the menu at the end of the row and click Remove team member. They can no longer open this organization, and it disappears from their organization switcher.
Both ask you to type DELETE to confirm. You cannot remove yourself. To leave an organization yourself, see Profile.
