Status overview
When the status changes
- A new order starts as Pending. If Zippendo could only create a draft shipment with your default sender address, because no shipping rule matched, the order stays Pending.
- The order moves from Pending to Processing when you create a shipment for the order, or when Zippendo creates one from a shipping rule as the order comes in.
- A new order gets Error when Zippendo tries to create that shipment automatically and cannot, for example because a detail is missing.
- The order becomes Partially fulfilled when you send some of the order’s shipments, but not all.
- The order becomes Fulfilled when every shipment on the order has been sent.
- An order that was already fulfilled in your webshop before it came into Zippendo (for example when you imported older orders) arrives as Fulfilled or Partially fulfilled, and Zippendo does not create a shipment for it, so nothing is shipped twice.
- The order becomes Cancelled when the order is cancelled in your webshop or by your own system.
The order’s status follows its shipments. To see which shipments an order has and their own status, look at the Shipments section on the order’s page. Shipment statuses are explained in Shipment statuses.
What to do for each status
- Pending - create a shipment, or open the draft shipment Zippendo created and choose the carrier. See Order detail and Create shipment.
- Processing - check the shipment on the order and click Send (or Send order at the top) when you are ready.
- Partially fulfilled - send the remaining shipments, or create one for the items still listed as Remaining. Do not create a new shipment for what has already been sent.
- Fulfilled - nothing to do. The order is complete.
- Cancelled - you cannot create shipments. Handle refunds or other steps in your webshop.
- Error - open the order, check the shipping address and items, and create the shipment yourself. If it still fails, contact support with the order number.
