With a printer set up in Zippendo, labels come out of your label printer without downloading a PDF first. Packing slips and invoices can print on a normal A4 printer at the same time. It works through Zippendo Printer, a small app for Mac and Windows. You install it on the computer your printers are connected to. Zippendo sends each label and document to the app, and the app prints it.

How it works

  1. Install Zippendo Printer on the computer next to your printers. Download it from Printers in the sidebar.
  2. Sign in to the app with your browser and add the printers connected to that computer.
  3. Approve each new printer on the Printers page. Until then it is Pending approval and prints nothing.
  4. Print. Click Print or Print all in the Documents card on a shipment page, or let Zippendo print automatically when you send a shipment.

Printer types

Each printer has a type. Zippendo uses it to decide what goes where.
For labels on a label roll, usually a thermal label printer. Labels only go to label printers.
You can add the same physical printer once as a label printer and once as a document printer.

The Printers page

Click Printers in the sidebar to see every printer in your organization. For each printer you see its type, its Status (Pending approval, Active or Disabled), whether it is Online or Offline right now, and when it was last seen. From the row menu you can View, Edit, Approve, Disable or Delete it.
