About GLS
GLS (General Logistics Systems) is one of Europe's largest parcel networks and one of the carriers Danish webshops use most. In Denmark, GLS delivers to private homes and businesses and runs a dense network of ParcelShops where customers collect and return parcels. Across Europe, the same agreement takes your parcels to customers in other countries, and GLS Express covers the orders that have to arrive before 10:00 or 12:00.
Why ship with GLS through Zippendo?
Zippendo is a shipping platform for webshops. You connect your own GLS Denmark agreement once, and from then on your orders become GLS shipments without anyone copying addresses into a carrier portal. You keep your GLS prices, and GLS keeps invoicing you directly.
Let customers pick their GLS ParcelShop at checkout
Your Shopify checkout can show live shipping rates from your own shipping rules, including nearby GLS ParcelShops with the shop's name, address and distance. On WooCommerce, the Zippendo checkout plugin adds the same pickup point selector to both the classic and the block-based checkout. The order arrives with the ParcelShop the customer chose, and Zippendo books GLS ShopDelivery to that exact shop.
Labels that book and print themselves
With shipping rules you decide once which GLS product an order should use, for example ParcelShop for small parcels, home delivery for larger ones and express for urgent orders. When an order matches, Zippendo books it with GLS and sends the label straight to your warehouse printer, ready the moment someone packs the box.
Returns your customers hand in at any ParcelShop
With GLS ShopReturn, Zippendo creates a return label your customer receives as a QR code or by email and hands in at any GLS ParcelShop. Fewer emails asking how to send something back, and a return process that feels as easy as the purchase.
Tracking on every GLS parcel
Every shipment gets its GLS tracking number, and Zippendo keeps the status up to date as the parcel moves, so you and your customer can follow it without logging in to GLS.

How do I connect GLS to my webshop?
Connect your shop to Zippendo first, then add your GLS agreement. Zippendo has ready-made integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce, and any other system can send orders through the API. Once both are connected, your shipping rules decide which orders go with GLS, and you can ship with GLS alongside carriers like PostNord, DAO and Bring from the same platform. See all integrations for the full list.
You need a GLS Denmark agreement and the API credentials GLS issues with it. The GLS setup guide in our docs walks through every field and how to test before you go live.
