Do I need my own Posti agreement?

Yes. Zippendo uses your own Posti contract and your own prices. We don't resell freight, so the shipping invoice keeps coming from Posti.

Which countries can I ship to with Posti?

Postal Parcel, Home Parcel and Express Parcel deliver in Finland, Åland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, and Small Parcel to Door in Finland and Åland. Priority Parcel and EMS take parcels from Finland to over 200 countries.

Can my customers choose a Posti parcel locker or service point at checkout?

Yes. When a shipping rule uses Postal Parcel (Postipaketti), Shopify live checkout rates and the Zippendo WooCommerce plugin show nearby Posti parcel lockers and service points, and the order arrives with the one the customer chose.

Can I track Posti shipments in Zippendo?

Yes, once you add your Tracking API username and password from Posti customer service. Without them every shipment still has its tracking number and a tracking link to posti.fi.

When can I start shipping with Posti?

As soon as your Developer Portal application account is set up. Create a Zippendo account, add your Posti contract, and your shipping rules can book Posti shipments from the first order.

Q: Can my customers return a parcel without printing a label?

Yes. With the label-free service on Return (Palautus), your customer writes a sending code on the parcel and drops it at a Posti service point or parcel locker.

Postal Parcel (Postipaketti) delivers to the Posti parcel locker or service point your customer chooses. Your Shopify checkout can show live shipping rates from your own shipping rules, including nearby points, and the Zippendo checkout plugin adds the same selector to WooCommerce. The order arrives with the point the customer chose, and Zippendo books Postal Parcel to it.

Home delivery, Express and small parcels

With shipping rules you decide once which Posti product an order should use, for example Home Parcel for delivery to the door at a time Posti agrees with the receiver, Express Parcel for next-day delivery against a signature, or Small Parcel to Door for small orders to the mailbox or door. Services such as an arrival notice, Saturday delivery, a signature or ID check and fossil-free transport are chosen per product.

Returns with or without a label

With Return (Palautus) your customer drops a parcel at any Posti service point or parcel locker, and it comes back to your address in Finland. With the label-free service your customer writes a sending code on the parcel instead of printing a label, and Zippendo shows the code on the shipment so you can send it on.

Customs for shipments outside the EU

Shipments to a country outside the EU, and to or from Åland, carry customs data from the order lines. Posti returns the customs declaration and the commercial invoice with the label, and they appear with the shipment's documents.

How do I connect Posti to my webshop?

Connect your shop to Zippendo first, then add your Posti contract. Zippendo has ready-made integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce, and any other system can send orders through the API. Your shipping rules then decide which orders go with Posti, alongside carriers like Matkahuolto, PostNord and Bring on the same platform. See all integrations for the full list.

Posti ships from an address in Finland or Åland. You need a Posti business customer account with a logistics contract number, and a Client ID and Client secret from an application account in Posti's Developer Portal with the shippingapi and 2026-04 roles. To see tracking updates in Zippendo you also add the Tracking API username and password that Posti customer service gives you. Posti has no test environment, so there is no Test mode.
