Do I need my own GLS Czech Republic agreement?

Yes. Zippendo uses your own GLS Czech Republic contract, your MyGLS login and your client number. We don't resell freight, so the shipping invoice keeps coming from GLS.

Can my customers choose an AlzaBox or GLS ParcelShop at checkout?

Yes. When a shipping rule uses GLS Parcel Locker Delivery, Shopify live checkout rates and the Zippendo WooCommerce plugin list the nearest GLS Parcel Boxes and AlzaBox lockers. With GLS ParcelShop Delivery they list ParcelShops. The order arrives with the point the customer chose.

How heavy can a parcel to a GLS point be?

Up to 20 kg from Czechia, to a ParcelShop or locker at home or abroad. Address delivery within Czechia goes up to 40 kg, and up to 31.5 kg to another EU country.

Does GLS Czech Republic support cash on delivery?

Yes. Within Czechia, GLS collects up to 60,000 CZK, rounded to whole crowns, at the door or at a GLS point. Cash on delivery to Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia and Romania works when your GLS contract includes it.

Can I book a GLS courier pickup from Zippendo?

GLS Czech Republic is not available under Pickups, so arrange your regular collections with GLS directly. For a one-off collection, send the shipment with GLS Pick&Ship and a GLS courier picks the parcel up at the sender address, anywhere on the GLS road network in the EU.

When can I start shipping with GLS Czech Republic?

Right away. Create a Zippendo account, add your MyGLS login and client number under Carriers, and your shipping rules can book GLS Czech Republic shipments from the first order. GLS Czech Republic is in beta in Zippendo.

GLS ParcelShop Delivery and GLS Parcel Locker Delivery take a parcel to the point your customer chooses, in Czechia or in 19 other European countries. The locker search covers GLS Parcel Boxes and AlzaBox lockers alike. Your Shopify checkout can show live shipping rates from your own shipping rules, including the nearest GLS points to the customer's postcode, and the Zippendo checkout plugin adds the same selector to WooCommerce. The order arrives with the point the customer chose, and Zippendo books GLS ParcelShop Delivery or GLS Parcel Locker Delivery to it. A parcel to any GLS point from Czechia takes at most 20 kg, at home or abroad, and Zippendo stops a heavier one before it reaches GLS.

Cash on delivery in Czech crowns

With CashService, GLS collects up to 60,000 CZK from the receiver within Czechia, at the door or at a ParcelShop or locker. GLS collects whole crowns, so Zippendo rounds the amount before it sends the shipment: 1,234.50 CZK goes to GLS as 1,235 CZK, and the amount on the shipment is the amount your customer pays. To an address in Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia or Romania, GLS collects in the destination's currency when your contract includes cash on delivery abroad.

Pick&Ship anywhere in the EU

GLS Czech Republic offers GLS Pick&Ship between any two EU countries on the GLS road network: a courier collects at the sender address, for example a supplier in Germany, and delivers to the receiver, in Czechia or abroad. GLS Pick&Return collects a return at your customer's address in Czechia or another EU country and brings it to you. Both come with an A4 pickup order instead of a label.

Insurance on high-value orders

DeclaredValueInsuranceService covers a single-parcel shipment declared between 6,000 and 100,000 CZK, and the same range applies to a parcel leaving the country. Every shipment gets its GLS parcel number, and Zippendo updates its tracking about once an hour.

How do I connect GLS Czech Republic to my webshop?

Every product except GLS Pick&Ship and GLS Pick&Return ships from an address in Czechia. If one MyGLS login holds several client numbers, connect GLS Czech Republic once per client number. You need a GLS Czech Republic contract and your MyGLS login: the email address and password you sign in to MyGLS with, and the GLS client number you ship under.
