About GLS Poland

GLS Poland (GLS Polska, General Logistics Systems Poland Sp. z o.o.) is the Polish company of the GLS parcel network. It delivers parcels to business and home addresses across Poland, runs GLS parcel shops and parcel lockers where customers collect their parcels, with returns handed in at the parcel shops, and carries parcels from Poland to the other EU countries on the GLS road network. Merchants ship with GLS Poland through ADE-Plus, GLS Poland's shipping system, and Zippendo books into your ADE-Plus user, so every shipment shows up there too.

Why ship with GLS Poland through Zippendo?

Zippendo is a multi-carrier shipping platform for webshops and warehouses. You connect your own GLS Poland agreement once, and from then on your orders become GLS shipments without anyone typing addresses into ADE-Plus. You keep your GLS prices, and GLS Poland keeps invoicing you directly. Your team can work in Polish: the Zippendo app is available in Polish, English and seven other languages.

GLS parcel shops and parcel lockers at checkout

GLS ShopDelivery takes a parcel to the GLS parcel shop your customer chooses in Poland, Austria, Belgium, Germany or Denmark, and GLS ShopDelivery to a parcel locker takes it to a GLS parcel locker in Poland. Your Shopify checkout can show live shipping rates from your own shipping rules, including the GLS points nearest the customer's postcode, and the Zippendo WooCommerce plugin adds the same pickup point selector to WooCommerce. The order arrives with the point the customer chose, and Zippendo books delivery to it. GLS sends the arrival notice by text message and email, so the receiver needs both a phone number and an email address, and Zippendo checks for them before the shipment reaches GLS.

Cash on delivery in złoty

With Cash on delivery on GLS BusinessParcel, GLS collects the amount you set in Polish złoty (PLN) from the receiver at the door. Zippendo checks that the shipment has an amount before it books, so a cash on delivery order never leaves without one. Cash on delivery and the other GLS Poland services are available for deliveries within Poland.

Morning and Saturday delivery in Poland

For Polish addresses, GLS BusinessParcel can be delivered before 10:00 or before 12:00, or on Saturday. You choose the service on the shipment or in a shipping rule, for example morning delivery for orders where the customer picked a paid express shipping method at checkout. Your GLS contract decides which services you can use.

Return labels with GLS ShopReturn

GLS ShopReturn creates a return label for a customer in Poland: they take the parcel to a GLS parcel shop, and it comes back to you. Each return is one parcel, your customer needs an email address, and the label carries the package size GLS asks for: S, M or L. If you leave the size empty, Zippendo picks the smallest one that fits the parcel's dimensions.

Courier collections booked from Zippendo

You can order a GLS courier under Pickups for your address in Poland. GLS collects at the address it holds for your ADE-Plus user, from the next working day on, and takes one courier order per day. You do not have to log in to ADE-Plus to call a courier.

Labels that print themselves

With shipping rules you decide once which GLS product and services an order should use. When an order matches, Zippendo books it with GLS Poland and the label prints on your warehouse printer with Zippendo Printer, as a 10 x 16 cm PDF or as ZPL for a Zebra printer at 203 or 300 dpi. Each parcel gets its own label and GLS parcel number, and each shipment appears in ADE-Plus under your user, named after Zippendo and the shipment's reference.

How do I connect GLS Poland to my webshop?

Connect your shop to Zippendo first, then add your GLS Poland agreement. Zippendo has ready-made integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce, and any other system can send orders through the REST API. Your shipping rules then decide which orders go with GLS Poland, alongside carriers like InPost, DPD Polska and DHL Express on the same platform. See all integrations for the full list.

Every outbound product ships from a sender address in Poland, and destinations outside the EU are not offered. You need a GLS Poland contract and the user name and password of your ADE-Plus user, which GLS Poland gives you with the contract. Test mode needs a separate test login from GLS Poland. The GLS Poland setup guide in our docs walks through every field.
