About InPost

InPost is the parcel locker carrier behind the InPost Paczkomat network in Poland and InPost lockers and service points across Europe and the United Kingdom. Customers collect their parcels from an InPost Paczkomat parcel locker or from an InPost service point in a partner shop, and InPost couriers deliver to the door as well. With Zippendo you can ship with InPost from Poland, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Hungary and the Isle of Man.

Why ship with InPost through Zippendo?

Zippendo is a shipping platform for webshops. You connect your own InPost contract once, and from then on your orders become InPost shipments without anyone copying addresses into the InPost Merchant Portal. You keep your InPost prices, and InPost keeps invoicing you directly.

InPost lockers and service points at checkout

InPost Locker delivers to the Paczkomat or InPost locker your customer chooses, and InPost Locker or Service Point lets them choose a partner shop as well. Your Shopify checkout can show live shipping rates from your own shipping rules, including the InPost points nearest the customer, and the Zippendo checkout plugin adds the same selector to WooCommerce. The order arrives with the locker or service point the customer chose, and Zippendo books delivery to it. A locker parcel can weigh up to 25 kg.

Courier delivery to the door

InPost Courier delivers to the receiver's address. You can add Express with a delivery window within Poland, Saturday or evening delivery, SMS and email notifications and return of documents, where InPost offers them on your contract. When an InPost courier collects from you, one shipment can hold several parcels, except to and from the UK. In Italy, InPost Courier delivers to the door in the postal codes InPost covers.

Cooled lockers for groceries in Poland

InPost Cooled Locker sends chilled goods to a fridge compartment of an InPost locker in Poland, kept at 4 °C or at room temperature (20 °C). There is no label: you put the parcel in the receiver's locker yourself with the shipment's code. The parcel must fit the compartment, at most 60 x 37 x 30 cm and 25 kg.

Returns with a label or a drop-off code

InPost Return brings a parcel from your customer back to you. The customer drops it off at an InPost locker or service point, either with a printed label or with a short drop-off code they type in at the locker, so they don't need a printer. You can set how many days the customer has to send it, from 7 days up.

Cash on delivery, customs data and tracking

InPost can collect cash on delivery of up to 5,000, in PLN within Poland and in EUR otherwise, on locker and courier shipments where your contract includes it. For routes that cross a customs border, such as between the EU and the UK, the description, value, country of origin and HS code travel from your order lines to InPost, which files the customs declaration itself. Zippendo can add a proforma or commercial invoice to the shipment. Every shipment gets its InPost tracking number and a tracking timeline next to your other carriers.

Which countries can I ship to with InPost?

With InPost in Zippendo you can ship from Poland, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Hungary and the Isle of Man. InPost Courier delivers to the same countries plus Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey. InPost Locker and InPost Locker or Service Point add the Czech Republic and Slovakia as well, wherever InPost has a locker or service point. Your InPost contract decides which of these routes you can use.

How do I connect InPost to my webshop?

Connect your shop to Zippendo first, then add InPost under Carriers. Zippendo has ready-made integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce, and any other system can send orders through the REST API. Your shipping rules then decide which orders go with InPost, alongside carriers like DPD Polska, GLS Poland, Royal Mail and PostNL on the same platform. See all integrations for the full list.

You need an InPost business contract and three details from InPost: the Client ID and Client secret of your InPost API client, which InPost's integration team issues with your contract or you create in the InPost Merchant Portal, and your Organization ID, which is in the Merchant Portal or your onboarding email. Ask InPost to give the API client permission for the parts you use, such as returns, cooled lockers, tracking or pickups. Every InPost shipment needs a phone number and an email address for both sender and receiver. Test mode needs a separate test API client from InPost. The InPost setup guide in our docs walks through every field.
