About DAO
DAO is a Danish parcel carrier. It delivers parcels to private addresses across Denmark and to a network of DAO parcel shops, where customers collect their orders and hand in returns. With daoGLOBAL, the same agreement also takes parcels from Denmark to customers in the rest of Europe.

Let customers pick their DAO parcel shop at checkout
Your Shopify checkout can show live shipping rates from your own shipping rules, including nearby DAO parcel shops with the shop's name, address and distance. On WooCommerce, the Zippendo checkout plugin adds the same pickup point selector to both the classic and the block-based checkout. The order arrives with the parcel shop the customer chose, and Zippendo books daoSHOP to that exact shop.
Labels that book and print themselves
With shipping rules you decide once which DAO product an order should use, for example daoSHOP for most Danish orders, daoHOME for customers who want the parcel at the door and daoGLOBAL for orders to other European countries. When an order matches, Zippendo books it with DAO and sends the label straight to your warehouse printer, ready the moment someone packs the box.
Returns your customers hand in at a DAO parcel shop
With daoSHOP Return, Zippendo creates a return label your customer takes to a DAO parcel shop. No need to book a collection or tell the customer which shop to use.
DAO next to your other carriers
DAO products take parcels up to 25 kg. Your shipping rules can send everything that fits with DAO and move heavier orders, or destinations DAO doesn't cover, to another carrier you have connected. Your team packs and prints the same way whichever carrier the rule picks.
Tracking on every DAO parcel
Every shipment gets its DAO barcode as the tracking number, and Zippendo checks the status with DAO's Track & Trace on a schedule, so you and your customer can follow the parcel without logging in to DAO.

- daoHOME: home delivery to Danish addresses, next-day, with SMS and email notification
- daoSHOP: delivery to the DAO parcel shop your customer chose (requires the recipient's mobile number or email)
- daoGLOBAL: international parcel delivery from Denmark to 27 European countries

All four products take parcels from 0.1 to 25 kg sent from Denmark.
How do I connect DAO to my webshop?
Connect your shop to Zippendo first, then add your DAO agreement. Zippendo has ready-made integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce, and any other system can send orders through the API. Once both are connected, your shipping rules decide which orders go with DAO, and you can ship with DAO alongside carriers like GLS, PostNord and Bring from the same platform.
