About DHL eCommerce Europe
DHL eCommerce Europe runs DHL's European parcel network for webshops. DHL Parcel Connect delivers to homes across the EU, Norway, Ireland and the United Kingdom, DHL Parcel International reaches over 220 countries through DHL's postal partners, and Connect Light carries small parcels up to 2 kg worldwide. For business customers, Connect PLUS carries several parcels or up to five pallets in one shipment. Parcels ship from the 25 EU countries DHL eCommerce Europe sells in, and some products also ship from the United Kingdom.
Why ship with DHL eCommerce Europe through Zippendo?
Zippendo is a shipping platform for webshops. You connect your own DHL eCommerce Europe agreement once, and from then on your orders become DHL shipments without anyone retyping addresses. You keep your DHL prices, and DHL eCommerce Europe keeps invoicing you directly.
One carrier for Europe and the rest of the world
With shipping rules you decide once which DHL product an order should use, for example DHL Parcel Connect for home delivery in Europe, Connect Light for small, light parcels and DHL Parcel International for countries further away. When an order matches, Zippendo books it with DHL and sends the label to your printer as PDF, PNG or ZPL. If DHL's answer comes back without a label, Zippendo asks DHL to print it again, and you can fetch the label later from the shipment when DHL has label reprint turned on for you.
Customs data sent for you
Zippendo builds the customs declaration from the order lines and checks it before anything goes to DHL. On lanes that cross a customs border, such as the United Kingdom, Norway or Switzerland, Zippendo sends the customs data to DHL right after the booking. DHL returns the CN23 for Parcel International and prints the CN22 on Connect Light labels, and for DHL Parcel Connect to or from the United Kingdom Zippendo makes the commercial invoice and adds it to the shipment's documents.
Returns with a label or a QR code
DHL Parcel Return Connect brings a parcel back from your customer to you. Your customer hands it in at a DHL point with the printed label or, in Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Sweden, with a QR code instead. DHL can also collect the return at your customer's address, and returns can be sent to a return location DHL set up for you.
Cash on delivery, pallets and courier pickup
DHL Parcel Connect supports cash on delivery on the routes where DHL offers it, paid into the bank account you add to the carrier. Connect PLUS carries up to 999 parcels or five pallets in one shipment and can declare dangerous goods in limited quantities. From pickup addresses in France and Italy you can book a DHL courier pickup directly from Zippendo.

How do I connect DHL eCommerce Europe to my webshop?
Connect your shop to Zippendo first, then add your DHL eCommerce Europe agreement. Zippendo has ready-made integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce, and any other system can send orders through the API. Your shipping rules then decide which orders go with DHL eCommerce Europe, alongside carriers like DHL Express, GLS and UPS on the same platform. See all integrations for the full list.
You need a business account with DHL eCommerce Europe and eConnect API access, which DHL's sales team issues: a client ID, a client secret and your DHL customer ID. For cash on delivery you also add the bank account DHL pays the amounts into. The DHL eCommerce Europe setup guide in our docs walks through every field.
