UPS

Connect your webshop to UPS and ship UPS Standard, Worldwide Express and Access Point parcels from one platform. Use your own UPS account, let UPS generate the customs documents and print labels automatically.

About UPS

UPS is one of the world's largest parcel carriers. In Europe, UPS Standard is its road service between European countries and to the US, Canada and Mexico, while the Worldwide Express and Worldwide Saver services take parcels to customers around the world. UPS also runs a network of UPS Access Points, local shops and lockers where customers collect their parcels instead of waiting at home.

Why ship with UPS through Zippendo?

Zippendo is a shipping platform for webshops. You connect your own UPS account once, and from then on your orders become UPS shipments without anyone retyping addresses in UPS's own tools. You keep your UPS rates, and UPS keeps invoicing you directly.

Let customers pick a UPS Access Point at checkout

UPS Access Point Economy and the Access Point versions of services like UPS Standard and UPS Worldwide Saver deliver to the Access Point your customer chooses. Your Shopify checkout can show live shipping rates from your own shipping rules, including nearby Access Points, and the Zippendo checkout plugin adds the same pickup point selector to WooCommerce. The order arrives with the chosen Access Point, and Zippendo books delivery to it.

Labels that book and print themselves

With shipping rules you decide once which UPS service an order should use, for example UPS Standard within Europe and UPS Worldwide Saver for orders further away. When an order matches, Zippendo books it with UPS and sends the label to your warehouse printer as PNG or ZPL for thermal printers. You can bill the shipment to your own UPS account, the receiver's or a third party's.

Customs documents from UPS

For international shipments, UPS generates the customs documents and the commercial invoice from the order data Zippendo sends, so nobody fills in paperwork by hand.

Returns and tracking

Services that support returns have a return variant. Zippendo can print a UPS return label, or have UPS email the return label straight to your customer so they don't need a printer. Every shipment gets its UPS tracking number, and Zippendo keeps the status updated as the parcel moves.

How do I connect UPS to my webshop?

Connect your shop to Zippendo first, then add your UPS account. Zippendo has ready-made integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce, and any other system can send orders through the API. Once both are connected, your shipping rules decide which orders go with UPS, and you can ship with UPS alongside carriers like GLS, DHL Express and FedEx from the same platform. See all integrations for the full list.

You need a UPS shipper account number and an app on the UPS Developer Portal with a client ID and client secret. The UPS setup guide in our docs walks through every field and how to test in UPS's test environment before you go live.
