FedEx

Connect your webshop to FedEx and ship international express, economy and US domestic parcels from one platform. Use your own FedEx account, let FedEx generate the customs documents and print labels automatically.

About FedEx

FedEx is a global express carrier. From Europe, its International Priority and International Economy services take parcels to customers worldwide, and FedEx Regional Economy and Europe First International Priority cover shipments inside Europe. In the US, FedEx runs overnight, two-day and ground services for domestic deliveries. For a webshop, FedEx is the carrier for international orders where speed, customs handling and tracking matter.

Why ship with FedEx through Zippendo?

Zippendo is a shipping platform for webshops. You connect your own FedEx account once, and from then on your orders become FedEx shipments without anyone copying addresses into FedEx Ship Manager. You keep your FedEx rates, and FedEx keeps invoicing you directly.

Labels that book and print themselves

With shipping rules you decide once which FedEx service an order should use, for example International Priority for urgent orders abroad and International Economy for the rest. When an order matches, Zippendo books it with FedEx and sends the label to your warehouse printer as a 4x6 PDF or ZPL for thermal printers. On each service you also choose how the parcel reaches FedEx: drop-off at a FedEx location, your scheduled pickup, or contacting FedEx to schedule one.

Customs paperwork generated by FedEx

For international shipments, FedEx generates the customs documents and an electronic commercial invoice from the order data Zippendo sends. The invoice goes to FedEx electronically, so nobody has to print it and tape it to the box.

Hold at Location, Saturday delivery and signatures

On services that support it, you can have a parcel held at a FedEx location for the customer to collect, using a location ID from Zippendo's FedEx location search. Saturday Delivery is available on selected services and lanes, and every outbound service can require an adult, direct or indirect signature.

Returns and tracking

Services that support returns have a return variant, so Zippendo can create a FedEx return label for your customer. Every shipment gets its FedEx tracking number, and Zippendo keeps the status updated as the parcel moves, so you and your customer can follow it without logging in to FedEx.

How do I connect FedEx to my webshop?

Connect your shop to Zippendo first, then add your FedEx account. Zippendo has ready-made integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce, and any other system can send orders through the API. Once both are connected, your shipping rules decide which orders go with FedEx, and you can ship with FedEx alongside carriers like DHL Express, UPS and GLS from the same platform. See all integrations for the full list.

You need a FedEx shipping account number and an app on the FedEx Developer Portal with an API key and API secret. The FedEx setup guide in our docs walks through every field and how to test in FedEx's sandbox before you go live.
