About GLS Serbia

GLS Serbia is the GLS parcel network in Serbia, run by General Logistics Systems d.o.o. Beograd. It delivers parcels to business and home addresses across Serbia, offers next-day express in the places it serves with express, and collects parcels from senders and returns from customers anywhere in the country. GLS Serbia contracts are managed in MyGLS, the platform GLS runs in Serbia and its neighbours in Central and Eastern Europe, and Zippendo books your shipments straight into it.

Why ship with GLS Serbia through Zippendo?

Zippendo is a multi-carrier shipping platform for webshops and warehouses. You connect your own GLS Serbia agreement once, and from then on your Serbian orders become GLS shipments without anyone typing addresses into MyGLS. You keep the prices you agreed with GLS, and GLS Serbia keeps invoicing you directly. Serbia uses the Serbian dinar, so cash on delivery and insured values on your GLS Serbia shipments are in dinars (RSD).

Delivery to any address in Serbia

GLS BusinessParcel delivers to a business or home address anywhere in Serbia and takes parcels up to 40 kg. A shipment can hold several parcels, each with its own label and GLS parcel number. Your shipping rules pick GLS Serbia for the orders it suits, for example by weight, order value or the shipping method chosen at checkout, and the label prints by itself with Zippendo Printer or downloads as a PDF.

Cash on delivery in dinars

With CashService, GLS collects up to 200,000 RSD from the receiver at the door, so your customers can pay when the parcel arrives. You enter the amount on the order or let your shipping rule add the service, and Zippendo checks the amount against GLS's limit before the shipment reaches GLS. A COD reference is optional; without one, the shipment reference is used.

Notifications and careful handover

Within Serbia, GLS BusinessParcel takes the services GLS Serbia lists in its price list. Your customer can get an email or SMS notification, an SMS with your own text and an SMS on the delivery day. ContactService has the driver call ahead, AddresseeOnlyService hands the parcel only to the named receiver, DocumentReturnService brings a signed document back to you, and ExchangeService delivers the parcel and picks up the item being exchanged. Insurance covers a declared value up to 200,000 RSD.

Next-day express by noon

GLS ExpressParcel delivers by 12:00 the next working day in the places in Serbia GLS serves with express, and takes parcels up to 40 kg. It can carry insurance and cash on delivery. For a postcode outside the express area, GLS refuses the booking and the shipment shows the reason, so you can send it as GLS BusinessParcel instead.

Collections and returns within Serbia

GLS Pick&Ship sends a courier to collect a parcel at an address in Serbia, such as a supplier or a second warehouse, and deliver it to the receiver. GLS Pick&Return collects a return at your customer's address and brings it back to you. Both come with an A4 pickup order instead of a label, so nobody has to print or hand anything in. Zippendo updates tracking for every GLS Serbia parcel about once an hour.

How do I connect GLS Serbia to my webshop?

Connect your shop to Zippendo first, then add your GLS Serbia agreement under Carriers. Zippendo has ready-made integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce, and any other system can send orders through the REST API. Your shipping rules then decide which orders go with GLS Serbia, next to carriers like GLS Hungary, GLS Croatia, GLS Romania, DHL Express and FedEx on the same platform. See all integrations for the full list.

You need a GLS Serbia contract, your MyGLS login (the email address and password you sign in to MyGLS with), the GLS client number your GLS sales contact gave you with the contract, and your company's PIB, the Serbian tax identification number. GLS Serbia requires the PIB on every shipment, so you enter it once and Zippendo adds it each time. Every GLS Serbia shipment goes from an address in Serbia to an address in Serbia. The GLS Serbia setup guide in our docs walks through every field.
