Yes. Zippendo uses your own DPD Switzerland agreement and your own prices. We don't resell freight, so the shipping invoice keeps coming from DPD.

Can I ship from Switzerland to the EU, the UK and Norway?

Yes. DPD CLASSIC, DPD COMFORT, DPD SHOP and DPD Freights (MAX) reach most of Europe, and DPD CLASSIC also covers the United Kingdom and Norway. Zippendo sends the customs data from your order lines with each shipment, so give every line a country of origin and a tariff number.

Can my customers choose a DPD SHOP service point at checkout?

Yes. When a shipping rule uses DPD SHOP, Shopify live checkout rates and the Zippendo WooCommerce plugin show nearby DPD service points in the receiver's country, and the order arrives with the one the customer chose.

Can I book a DPD pickup from Zippendo?

Yes. DPD Switzerland is one of the carriers you can schedule pickups for in Zippendo, from addresses in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, on a weekday after today.

Can my customers return a parcel without printing a label?

Yes. With the label-free return service on DPD RETURN, your customer gets a QR code to show at DPD instead of a label. It works for returns of one parcel.

When can I start shipping with DPD Switzerland?

Once DPD has sent your Label Print user ID, password and customer number. New access can take until the next day to work at DPD. After that, add the details in Zippendo and your shipping rules can book DPD Switzerland shipments right away.

DPD Switzerland is DPD's parcel network in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. It delivers to business and home addresses in both countries, to DPD SHOP service points, and from Switzerland to most of Europe, including the United Kingdom and Norway. Its range runs from small parcel letters up to 2 kg to heavy parcels up to 100 kg, so a Swiss webshop can send almost everything it sells with one carrier.

DPD SHOP delivers to a DPD service point in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and 13 other European countries. Your Shopify checkout can show live shipping rates from your own shipping rules, including nearby DPD SHOP points, and the Zippendo checkout plugin adds the same selector to WooCommerce. The search runs on your own DPD login and only offers service points inside the receiver's customs area, so a parcel never crosses a border it has no declaration for.

Customs data for parcels that leave Switzerland

Shipments that leave Switzerland and Liechtenstein carry customs data taken from the order lines: description, quantity, value, country of origin and tariff number. Zippendo can print a commercial or proforma invoice next to the DPD label, and shipments to the United Kingdom and Norway carry your EORI and VAT numbers and the receiver's EORI number.

Returns, exchanges and label-free returns

With DPD RETURN, a customer in Switzerland, Liechtenstein or 16 other European countries sends a parcel back to you on your own DPD agreement. A single-parcel return can be label-free: your customer shows a QR code at DPD instead of printing a label. On outbound shipments you can also print a return label with every parcel, or use Exchange (SWAP) so DPD collects the old item when it delivers the new one.

Pickups and tracking

When the parcels are packed, you can schedule a DPD Switzerland pickup from your address in Switzerland or Liechtenstein directly from Zippendo. Every shipment gets its DPD tracking number, and Zippendo fetches tracking updates from DPD about once an hour.

How do I connect DPD Switzerland to my webshop?

Connect your shop to Zippendo first, then add your DPD Switzerland agreement. Zippendo has ready-made integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce, and any other system can send orders through the API. Every DPD Switzerland shipment leaves from an address in Switzerland or Liechtenstein. You need a DPD Switzerland customer account with access to DPD's Label Print service: a user ID, a password and your customer number (the "Invoice Nr." in DPD's email).
