Do I need my own DPD Hungary agreement?

Yes. Zippendo uses your own DPD Hungary agreement and your own prices. We don't resell freight, so the shipping invoice keeps coming from DPD.

Does DPD Hungary support cash on delivery?

Yes. Cash on delivery works on DPD Classic, DPD Home and DPD Pickup to Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia, each in the destination's own currency. The express products do not offer it.

Can my customers choose a DPD Pickup point or locker at checkout?

Yes. When a shipping rule uses DPD Pickup, Shopify live checkout rates and the Zippendo WooCommerce plugin show nearby DPD service points and lockers in Hungary, and the order arrives with the one the customer chose.

Which countries can I ship to with DPD Hungary?

DPD Classic and DPD Home deliver to Hungary and the other EU countries, so no customs declaration is needed. DPD Pickup and the express products deliver within Hungary.

Why does every DPD Hungary shipment need an email address?

DPD Hungary requires the receiver's email address on every shipment and uses it for its delivery notice. Add the receiver's phone number as well and DPD also sends the notice by SMS.

When can I start shipping with DPD Hungary?

As soon as DPD Hungary's integration team has sent your login, password, customer ID and sender address ID. Add them in Zippendo and your shipping rules can book DPD Hungary shipments from the next order.

About DPD Hungary

DPD Hungary is DPD's parcel network in Hungary. It delivers to business and home addresses in Hungary and the rest of the EU, runs DPD Pickup service points and parcel lockers across Hungary, and offers express delivery within Hungary by 10:00 or 12:00. For a Hungarian webshop it also collects cash on delivery in Hungary and five neighbouring countries.

Add cash on delivery to DPD Classic, DPD Home or DPD Pickup and set the amount on the shipment. DPD Hungary collects it in Hungary in HUF, in Romania in RON, in the Czech Republic in CZK, and in Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia in EUR, and Zippendo picks the destination's currency for you. At a service point or locker the receiver pays by card, and on a shipment with several parcels DPD collects the amount once.

DPD Pickup service points and lockers at checkout

DPD Pickup delivers one parcel to the service point or locker your customer chooses in Hungary. Your Shopify checkout can show live shipping rates from your own shipping rules, including nearby DPD Pickup points, and the Zippendo checkout plugin adds the same selector to WooCommerce. The order arrives with the point the customer chose, and Zippendo books the parcel to it with its dimensions.

Your registered pickup address and tracking

DPD Hungary prints the pickup address it has on file for your sender address ID, so labels always match what DPD collects from. If you send from more than one address, connect DPD Hungary once per address. Every shipment gets its DPD tracking number, and Zippendo fetches tracking updates about once an hour from the first depot scan.

How do I connect DPD Hungary to my webshop?

Every DPD Hungary shipment leaves from an address in Hungary. You need a DPD Hungary account for Zippendo from DPD Hungary's integration team: a login, a password, your customer ID and the sender address ID of your registered pickup address, plus your customer account number if DPD issued one.
