About Instabox
Instabox is a delivery brand in the Instabee group. It delivers parcels to Instabox parcel lockers and to customers' homes in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, and customers can hand in returns at the same lockers. Webshops book Instabox through Instabee's Integration API, which is what Zippendo connects to.
Why ship with Instabox through Zippendo?
Zippendo is a shipping platform for webshops. You add your Instabox API key once, and from then on your orders become Instabox shipments without anyone copying addresses into a carrier portal. You keep your Instabox prices, and Instabox keeps invoicing you directly.
Let customers pick their Instabox locker at checkout
Your Shopify checkout can show live shipping rates from your own shipping rules, including nearby Instabox lockers. On WooCommerce, the Zippendo checkout plugin adds the same pickup point selector to both the classic and the block-based checkout. The order arrives with the locker the customer chose, and Zippendo books Instabox locker delivery to that exact locker.
Home delivery when the customer wants it at the door
For home delivery, Zippendo checks with Instabox that the customer's postal code is covered before it books the parcel, and Instabox schedules the delivery itself. If a postal code isn't covered, you find out when you book and can choose another product or carrier.
Labels that book and print themselves
With shipping rules you decide once which Instabox product an order should use, for example locker delivery for most orders and home delivery when the customer picks it at checkout. When an order matches, Zippendo books it with Instabox and sends the label straight to your warehouse printer, ready the moment someone packs the box.
Locker returns without a printer
With an Instabox locker return, your customer drops the parcel at an Instabox locker. Turn on the labelless option and they don't need to print a label at all.
Tracking pushed from Instabox
Every shipment gets its Instabox parcel ID as the tracking number. Instabox sends tracking events to Zippendo as the parcel moves, so the status updates without anyone checking it by hand.
Supported Instabox products and services
- Locker delivery: delivery to the Instabox parcel locker your customer selected
- Home delivery: delivery to the customer's home address, scheduled by Instabox
- Locker return: your customer returns the parcel by dropping it at an Instabox locker
- Labelless: optional service on locker returns, so the customer doesn't print a label
All three products cover Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, for parcels from 0.1 to 20 kg. Instabox has no home return product in Zippendo; if you need returns collected from the door, Budbee offers them on the same Instabee platform.
How do I connect Instabox to my webshop?
Connect your shop to Zippendo first, then add your Instabox agreement. Zippendo has ready-made integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce, and any other system can send orders through the API. Once both are connected, your shipping rules decide which orders go with Instabox, and you can ship with Instabox alongside carriers like Budbee, PostNord and Bring from the same platform.
