Zippendo builds checkout rates from your shipping rules. Each shipping rule that fits the customer’s cart becomes one shipping option at checkout, with the price set on the rule. Zippendo does not ask the carriers for prices. So if no shipping rule fits, the customer sees no Zippendo options.

What you see

  • Your Shopify or WooCommerce checkout shows no Zippendo shipping options, or fewer than you expect.
  • A call to the shipping quote API returns an empty list of rates.

Likely causes and what to do

At checkout, price conditions are compared with the cart price before discounts, because Shopify and WooCommerce do not send the discounted total.

Check a rule against a cart

Open a rule under Shipping rules and click Test. In Condition tester, enter a Weight (kg), an Order value and a Quantity to see whether the rule is skipped and which price applies. This checks your rule, not a live checkout. See Shipping rule fields. After you change a shipping rule, give the checkout about a minute before you test again.

For developers

The shipping quote API answers from the same shipping rules. If it returns an empty list, check the destination country, the weight of each line (weight × quantity) and the order value against the rules as described above.
