Send Zippendo events to Klaviyo so you can start emails and text messages when orders arrive or parcels move. Klaviyo sends the messages from your own Klaviyo account; Zippendo only passes on the events.
Product overview: Klaviyo on zippendo.com

Before you start

  • A Klaviyo private API key that may create events. Create it in Klaviyo under Settings → API keys (Owner or Admin role needed).
  • The Growth, Pro or Enterprise plan in Zippendo.

Events Klaviyo can receive

  • Shipments: Shipment created, Shipment sent, Shipment cancelled
  • Orders: Order created, Order updated
  • Tracking: Tracking updated
Each event shows up in Klaviyo as a metric. The metric names differ from the names in Zippendo: Shipment sent, for example, arrives as “Shipment Dispatched”. To use another name, send the event from an automation with Custom event name filled in.

Connect Klaviyo

1

Open the catalog

Click Apps & integrations in the sidebar, then Catalog, and find Klaviyo under Apps.
2

Click Connect

Read what Zippendo will do with the connection and click Continue.
3

Add your key

Type a Connection name, such as “Klaviyo webshop”, and paste the key into Private API key.
4

Pick the events

Tick the events Zippendo should send to Klaviyo on its own.
5

Connect and check

Click Connect. Then send a shipment and check the delivery log on the connection (the plug icon) for a green tick.
Every field and message is described in Connect Klaviyo.

After connecting

  • Use the metrics in Klaviyo flows and segments.
  • Use Automations if only some events should reach Klaviyo, or after a delay.
  • Check the connection’s delivery log when something does not arrive.

Troubleshooting

  • 401 or 403 in the delivery log: Klaviyo refused the key. Check that the key is still active and may create events, or create a new one.
  • A failed test event: a test event has no customer in it, so Klaviyo can refuse it even when the key is right. Check with a real shipment instead.
