Connect Mailchimp
1
Find your audience ID
In Mailchimp, open Audience → Settings → Audience name and defaults, and copy the audience ID.
2
Open the catalog
In Zippendo, click Apps & integrations in the sidebar, then Catalog, and click Connect on Mailchimp under Apps. Read what Zippendo will do and click Continue.
3
Enter the key and the audience ID
Type a Connection name, paste the key into API key and the ID into Audience ID.
4
Pick the events and connect
Tick the events Mailchimp should receive and click Connect.
After connecting
- Set up Mailchimp customer journeys that start on the events Zippendo sends.
- Check with a real shipment, not a test event. A test event has no customer email, so it always shows as failed for Mailchimp.
Troubleshooting
- 401 or 403 in the delivery log: Mailchimp refused the key. Generate a new key and paste it in.
- 404 in the delivery log: Mailchimp could not find the audience, or the customer is not in it. Check that you used the audience ID, not the audience’s name.
- “No customer email available”: the order has no customer email, so there is no contact to file the event under.
