Most Zippendo integrations pass news on. When something happens in Zippendo, such as a shipment being sent to the carrier, a new tracking scan or a new order, Zippendo forwards that event to the tool you connected.

What integrations are, and what they are not

Integrations do not replace order channels or carriers. They let your marketing, messaging and automation tools react to what happens in Zippendo. A warehouse system is the exception: PeakWMS connects to Zippendo and asks it for labels, rather than receiving events.

Connections and events

Each connection has:
  • Credentials: the key, ID or web address the tool gave you. Zippendo stores them encrypted and never shows them again.
  • Events: which events Zippendo sends to the tool on its own as they happen.
  • A delivery log: every delivery and how the tool answered, so you can see what went wrong.
Each tool supports a different set of events. Every integration guide lists the ones that tool can receive. You can have more than one connection to the same tool, for example one Slack channel for the packing team and one for customer service.

Integrations or automations

A direct connection is the quickest way: connect once, tick the events, and Zippendo forwards them all. An automation adds conditions, delays and several steps. Use one when only some events should go through, for example “only post to Slack when the shipment goes abroad”. An automation uses the same connection: add the tool’s step, such as Send Klaviyo event, and pick your connection. See Automations. You can use both. A connection with no events ticked sends nothing on its own, but automations can still use it.

Product pages and setup guides

  • Each integration has a page on zippendo.com about what it can do for your business.
  • These docs hold the setup steps and the help when something goes wrong. Read more on each app’s card under Apps & integrations opens the matching guide here.
The Catalog tab under Apps & integrations always shows what you can connect today.
