Zippendo vs Shipmondo
Shipping software that doesn't bill you per label
Zippendo is a Danish shipping platform for webshops and fulfilment teams that ship on their own carrier agreements. You pick a plan, the shipments are included in it, and connecting a carrier costs nothing.

Shipmondo figures are from their own public pricing page in DKK, monthly billing. Their label fee applies when you book on your own carrier agreements; booking on Shipmondo's own rates works differently.

You pay for a plan, not for every label
A Zippendo plan has the shipments in it. Standard is DKK 599 a month with 2,500 shipments, Growth is DKK 1,199 with 7,500, Pro is DKK 1,799 with 15,000. Go past the included volume and you pay 15 to 25 øre a shipment. That is the only usage line on the invoice.
Shipmondo's subscription is DKK 99 to 249 a month, and every label you create on your own carrier agreement carries a separate fee of DKK 0.18 to 0.64, tiered by how many you made that month. Their own worked example puts 1,600 labels at SEK 1,243.92 in label fees before the subscription. Pickup labels and plain address labels count toward the same meter.
Connecting a carrier costs nothing
Add the carrier account, paste the credentials, ship. There is no fee for turning a carrier on, and no fee for the second account with the same carrier when you open a new market.
Shipmondo charges a one-time setup fee per carrier customer number: DKK 60 on Free, DKK 500 on Essentials and DKK 600 on Pro, or twenty percent less on annual billing. A second PostNord account, or a GLS agreement for another country, is another fee.
An API in the language you already write
We publish free client libraries for TypeScript, Python, PHP, Go and Ruby, all generated from the same public OpenAPI spec, so the SDK never drifts from the API. If you would rather not use one, the REST endpoints are documented and stable.
Shipmondo publishes a REST API and a command-line client.
An assistant that can actually reach your shipments
Zippy answers questions about your own orders and shipments, and our MCP server lets Claude or any other MCP client book a shipment, chase a tracking number or fix a rule for you. It is an add-on on any paid plan rather than an enterprise line item.
Shipmondo's published plans do not list an AI assistant.
Where Shipmondo is the better fit
If your operation is mostly a warehouse, Shipmondo is the stronger product. Their pick-and-pack tooling — pick paths, scan to complete, order check, shelf and product labels — goes deeper than ours, and if picking errors are what is costing you money, that is where the money is. They also keep shipment history longer than we do: two years on every plan, four on Pro, against our 30 days to a year. We keep less on purpose, but if you need four years of label history in the same system, they have it and we do not. And if you ship a few hundred parcels a month, their per-label model is simply cheaper than our flat plan. The arithmetic turns in our favour somewhere in the low thousands. Below that, it does not, and we would rather you knew that now.
